Melissa is a consultant specialising in the music, advertising and photography industries.

Melissa  joined the Simkins Partnership in December 2000 and moved to Swan Turton in November 2005.

Melissa's practice area covers media and entertainment  generally.  More specifically she advises in relation to advertising copy clearance, data protection issues, litigation and complaints and disputes relating to contracts, copyright and royalties. Her clients include advertising agencies, photo libraries, photographers and their agents.

She is a member of the Advertising Lawyers Group and frequently gives seminars on all aspects of IP law including copyright, trade marks and passing off.

Melissa also acts as an independent on set adjudicator for TV production companies, resolving any potential issues of dispute which arise during filming.
